Hi everyone,

Quick newb question:

As a beginner, should I learn the C-A-G-E-D chords first, and then look in to learning where all the chords are located on the fretboard? Is there a 'recommended' way to start, or is it just a case of learning the above chords and then everything else naturally falls in to place?

You cannot go wrong with doing that for starters Simon. The CAGED system works really well and it gives you a tremendous grounding that will stand you in really good stead. http://www.cagedguitarsystem.net
