  • WOO HOO  :D  :D  :D
Pushed the button today. love the look and feel of the Jackson Warrior, so I've taken the plunge and ordered one along with a whole host of accessories to get me going:

    - Jackson Warrior JS32T in Ferrari Red
    - Blackstar ID Core 20 amp
    - Red QTSN2 Snark tuner (I know the ID Core has a built in one, but handy to have this anyway)
    - Roland RH5 headphones
    - Stand, amp cable, picks, spare set of 9's

Managed to get 70 quid off the normal RRP. Happy as Larry
Will post photos once they arrive (on order now)
Just keeping an eye out for a nice strap
     ;D

  • Could always show the guitar on Skype , if you are just getting back into the the guitar then I woud be happy to help you get started or open chords, Barre  chords, scale runs all low level till your finger tips (pads) harden off a bit 😂

    My Skype is john.whitehouse9

Any time you want to go through something on the guitar just pm me and I can arrange with you a time that's convenient, no question is trivial , if it needs asking then ask 😀--------- best part of asking how to do this or play that

    It's free . ;D

No doubt you will get some pm's offering help and advice on Skype .

  • Hi all,
Quick update, my new guitar was delivered today! :D happy as larry. It looks like it belongs to a rock star! Lol, I must say it feels smaller than I'd imagined and the fret board feels quite small & finicky. It's a case now of learning and getting used to her. Celebrating with a nice glass of red. Speaking of reds, here's my new red!

Love the Red, does it match your Ferrari?

  • She does sound very nice, even with the likes of me strumming away. Spent a little time friday night, and then Saturday for a couple of hours and yesterday an hour or so, already getting familiar with the open chord shapes, particularly C, A, G and E. I'm learning a chord at a time. I'm also leaving the digi tuner clipped on to ensure I'm hitting the correct notes. The digi reader is great for ensuring I'm playing the strings correctly! I must say, strumming through the chords - I really like the sound of the open A chord. The open E is very similar sounding, but the open A - not only is it easy to play - but I really like the sound of it.
Had a video tutorial on the bus this morning, and I need to keep my pinky finger close to my wedding ring finger and focus on keeping the hand as a cluster, and also work on how other chords relate to others so I'm not moving my fingers as much as I am now. Small fluid movements is what I need to concentrate on.
I am definitely enjoying it so far  :)
