  • Examining my 345 copy, the other day, I notices that the bridge posts slope backwards by 5-10 degrees.

Is this normal, or do I have a problem on my hands? (like filling the holes and re-drilling)

  • If they are the small pieces of threaded rod roughly 3 to 3.5 mm in diameter, yes they bend all the time under the tension of the strings, and the sharp angle of the strings behind the bridge. You could just carefully bend them back. if there's enough room for a second thumbwheel under the bridge, you could add that to support the screw. Some people will upgrade to a piece of rod made from harder material. You could check with a reputable repair shop to see if that would be an option.
