Effects / Re: versatile delay

I have the full size version of the Ibanez delay, and it is quite good. It's more of an analog delay, than digital.

It has very good sounds for what I use it for. Unfortunately, I can not help with the other two.

You may need to put an A-B-Y box (or maybe two of them) in front of it to switch between the different instruments going in the front end.

Are you doing this for live performance, or recording? If you're doing it for live stuff, you may want to get one of the units Radial makes to have several inputs going into a single output that will go to the pedal, then where it sends the signal.

I hope that helps some.

This forum only works on Google Chrome here in the rebel colonies. I have been having tons of trouble for months trying to access the forum through Internet Explorer and my iphone. Now, I know. Duh.

Electric Guitar / Re: clapton strat

The bass player whom I play with raves about his friend's EC Strat. I'm not sure how old it is, as I think there are some minor variations.

What he does rave about are the noiseless pickups, and the mid boost.

Granted, I've never seen or played one, so I'm only going by his opinion. He is a tone junkie, so I bet he's spot on. I'd like to try one because I'm a fan of '50s V shaped necks.

His funeral was this weekend. I'm surprised that they were able to keep him this long in order to have an open casket ceremony. He was wearing his captain's hat and they had a red ES-355 in the casket with him at the time of the ceremony.

He has? Bummer. Hope you're still having fun with the G&L, and causing trouble on the motorways.

Welcome! You could try drawing chord shapes on index cards. Shuffle them, and starting with just two (then three, four, etc.) get comfortable with moving your fingers around. Start with the basic major and minor open position chords. Then, as you dexterity improves, move on to other positions.

It looks like the line out from the mixer can go into the rear panel into one of the "Line In" jacks. If you're trying to go into the mixer, maybe the analog out jacks for monitors would work.

Here's a link to the manuals:

I just saw this, and thought it was quite funny. His commentary is quite good. Especially comments about "Stairway to Heaven", Motorhead, Mark Knopfler, and "gut" strings.

Amps / Re: no sound from PA during open mike session
« on: March 31, 2016, 03:18:35 AM »
If your Martin works fine with your amp or a powered board, I would say you have a passive type pickup. They would need phantom power or an outboard pre-amp for your guitar. You could ask them if they have phantom power. It's usually used for condensor mics, but could also be used in some instrument applications.

Unfortunately, I don't know very much about acoustic pickups. I'm just trying to offer some suggestions. Is there a shop near you where you could try plugging into a demo PA?

I'm assuming that you're using a 1/4" cable into a 1/4" input on the board? The 1/4" input on the board might be for a stereo or "insert" cable. If so, the lead needs to be only partially inserted. Your best bet is to get a cable that has a 1/4" male jack to fit the guitar, and a 3 pin male microphone type connector on the other end to plug into the snake or board. That should help remove any confusion.

If you right click the mouse on a photo, you should be given options such as copy, paste, etc... One of them (at the bottom) should be Properties. Left click on Properties. Then highlight and copy the URL for the photo.

Then, on the posting box here on the forum, you'll see a little box with a picture of the Mona Lisa next to the Flash F in the upper left. Click on the Mona Lisa and it show two sets of brackets with img between them. Between the two inner brackets, paste the photo's URL. That should allow you to post the photo.
