For Sale / Schecter Banshee Floyd Rose Active
« Last post by ASteeden on September 14, 2018, 06:06:05 PM »
Selling my Schecter Banshee FR A in crimson red, with the EMG het set installed.

It is roughly 2 years old, and barely been played.
Condition is great, only a few tiny scratches that are only visible if you hold it a certain way.
It has had the EMG 'Het Set' installed - worth 200+ on their own - which was just a plug in job, i.e no electronics were tampered with, and they sound fantastic.
It features a 5 piece maple and walnut neck, bolt on, with an ebony fingerboard, pearl offset dot inlays, grover tuners, and an alder body with a flamed maple veneer.
It plays great and looks stunning.
Reason for selling is I am in need of cash!
Asking 570

I am based in Somerset, near street if you wanted to pick it up, or if you need it posting I'm sure we can come to an agreement - I even have the original box for it.

Unable to upload photos, so please get in touch via email.

Thanks for looking!

For Sale / STOLEN fender STRATOCASTER mexico GLASGOW
« Last post by RandomBoy on September 08, 2018, 09:44:12 PM »
Hi there,

Thank you for accepting me in the forum. This is my first post (not an happy one unfortunately).

This Monday (3/9/2018) my studio was broken into and some of my music equipment got stolen. Unfortunately a guitar I really care was gone too.

It would really mean a lot if I could get it back, as this was my first electric guitar, with which I performed my first gigs. It was also the last piece of gear I didn't sell before to change country and it was currently my only electric guitar.

Fender Stratocaster / Made in Mexico

Sunbrust color / Black Plate

Mini Humbucker Seymour Duncan Pickup at the bridge (there's not many strats with that pickup)

Serial Number: M 22101597

Police case number: GA00620918

My mail: manicomichiusi@gmail.com

It was stolen in Glasgow, in Ibrox area.

Thank you very much

Acoustic Guitar / hello from uk here is my story
« Last post by mac1012 on September 01, 2018, 03:36:32 PM »
Hi my name is mark i am from chesterfield derbyshire and i am returning to play guitar after a few years
i have tried lots of different instruments including piano , flute , keyboard but find myself gravitating back to the acoustic guitar.
i have been dusting of the cobwebs from my tanglewood guitar that i brought years ago , its a TW45B Electro acoustic . cedar top and mahogany back and sides , its a lovely guitar and after doing some digging found out that the guitar is still being made except the preamp and pick up are now fishman instead of Bband , i have just had it set up and serviced , new strings and a couple of the frets dressed. the electrics are fine apart from the under saddle transducer but i have sourced a replacement from richtone and will cost 20 pounds to fit. really pleased with the guitar and had forgot how nice it is to play. i am mainly a chord player but enjoy singing and playing at the same time and i am working my way through justins guitar song book and having a lot of fun and challenges ! the current model retails at nearly 800 but i brought mine for 300 new in 2005 , i have to factor in the better electronics but i am pleased with the quality of the cedar top and the neck is silky smooth and a dream to play and the binding and dot inlays really finish it off. The tone is not as bright as some others but is very rich and powerful for a smaller bodied guitar. just got to sort the electrics and get an acoustic amp. i was thinking of getting another guitar but on my budget i would only be paying for the same level of quality so i am going to stick with the tanglewood i also have a fender concert bodied acoustic that plays really nice but not quite up to the level of the tanglewood.

Anyway i will probably be asking a few questions and getting to know you all.

Many thanks Mark.

Electric Guitar / Re: HELP !

Forget about scales and learn songs in defrent genger. I recommend learning blues, country, jazz, rock solos and playing them with metronome. Look here

Electric Guitar / HELP !
« Last post by TDIZZLE on July 10, 2018, 01:30:06 PM »
Hi guys,

So I have been playing guitar for around 5 years now. The first 3 years i felt progression and development in technique but for the last two i have felt stagnated. I really want to learn how to solo across the neck but there are just so many scales to know and I don't know where to start. I haven't been taught musical theory and I don't know whether that is necessary. Can you guys give me ideas on where to start and how I should tackle my quest to soloing like a pro. I know a select few scales but I don't know how to transfer the shapes across the fret board etc.

Effects / Re: versatile delay
« Last post by John H on April 29, 2018, 10:03:23 PM »
I have the full size version of the Ibanez delay, and it is quite good. It's more of an analog delay, than digital.

It has very good sounds for what I use it for. Unfortunately, I can not help with the other two.
